The Scorpion Trail™ III is the result of continuous improvement in technologies and materials.
Sporty Behavior:
- Better handling and grip
Acoustic Comfort:
- Reduced noise emissions
High Stability:
- In loaded and unloaded condition
The Pirelli SCORPION™ Trail III is a revolutionary motorcycle tire that embodies the perfect balance between road sportiness and adventurous spirit. It is the sportiest SCORPION product ever designed for asphalt, offering exceptional grip and handling while also capable of handling light off-road terrain.
Key Features:
- Superior stability, even at full load, with wet performance comparable to Sport-Touring tyres.
- Low road noise for a more comfortable ride.
- First sizes already available, with the full range set for launch throughout the year.
The SCORPION™ Trail III is engineered for modern adventure and crossover motorcycles, offering versatility across various riding contexts. It represents Pirelli's latest advancements in tire technology and materials, developed by their Research and Development Department.
On asphalt, the SCORPION™ Trail III delivers a highly sporty experience, thanks to its exceptional grip, optimal handling, and stability even under full load. It provides wet performance similar to Sport-Touring tyres, enhancing rider confidence in challenging conditions. When transitioning to dirt roads, the tyre's tread pattern, featuring a mix of central and transverse grooves, ensures superior control and traction.
The tyre?s tread design is an evolution of its predecessor, the SCORPION™ Trail II, aimed at enhancing stability and riding precision. Inspired by the DIABLO sport range, the tread pattern includes grooves for wet drainage and lateral stability on softer terrain, as well as robust central and shoulder grooves for traction and guidance on dirt roads. These improvements increase the rubber contact with the road, enhancing overall performance.
The SCORPION™ Trail III features new compounds, with 100% silica-based radial sizes for both Front Tyre and Rear Tyre. The Rear Tyre dual-compound radials use a soft compound on the shoulders and plasticising resins for cornering grip, while the harder central tread band offers stability, wear resistance, and mileage.
The tyre's structures, derived from supersport experience, enhance ride and grip, especially in radial sizes with a 0-degree steel belt construction for stability at high speeds. The rigid structures of the Rear Tyre tyres provide sporty handling and stability under all load conditions.
Derived from Sport Touring tyres, the tire profiles offer stability at high speeds, high mileage, and a progressive, sporty feel. The SCORPION™ Trail III will be available in various sizes, with some launching in the first half of 2024 and others in the second half, catering to a wide range of motorcycles and riders.
